Call For Workshops Proposals
BRAINS 2026 invites proposals for workshops offering dynamic platforms for both academic researchers and industry professionals to exchange insights, present preliminary results, and discuss novel perspectives related to specific challenges and emerging trends within the realm of Blockchain Research & Applications for Innovative Networks and Services (BRAINS).
The topics of BRAINS 2026 workshops should align with the overarching themes of the main conference, reflecting advancements across all facets of blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, decentralized systems, and their applications. The decision on acceptance/rejection of workshop proposals will be made based on the overall quality of the proposal, and how it fits in with the conference.
All workshop papers will be part of the BRAINS 2026 conference proceedings.
Important Dates
The workshops will be co-located with the BRAINS conference on 13-16 October 2026.
- Workshop Proposal Submission Due Date: 15 March 2026
- Workshop Notification of Acceptance: 12 April 2026
Workshop proposals are to be submitted through EDAS here
The specific dates for the workshop paper submission deadline, notification of acceptance, and camera-ready submissions are to be chosen by the workshop organizers. However, the camera-ready submission should align with the deadline of the BRAINS main conference.
Submission Guidelines for Workshop Proposals
Each workshop proposal should consist of max four pages and include:
- Organizer Team: Short bio and contact information, including affiliation, job title, and email. Organizers (max three per workshop) should demonstrate strong expertise and visibility in the proposed topic.
- Title of the Proposed Workshop and Acronym
- Theme and Goals: Abstract, motivation and relevance to BRAINS, Planned activities, Intended audience, Expected number of participants, measures to stimulate submissions and participation.
- Primary Focus: e.g., foundations, protocols, engineering, applications, governance, security, interoperability.
- Duration: Half-day or full-day.
- Expected Submissions and Acceptance Rate: Each workshop is expected to attract an active audience and at least 10 paper submissions.
- Tentative Program Committee
- Draft Call for Papers: The Call for Papers must be open. Workshop paper submissions and reviews must be managed via EDAS.
- History of Previous Editions (if applicable): Workshops with a successful history may be prioritized, subject to capacity.
- Logistics Needs (if applicable): e.g., breakout rooms, whiteboards, poster sessions.
